The tuition at Unitech Training Academy-Lafayette rose by 1.3% for the 2022-23 school year, based on the most recent disclosure, according to the latest disclosure from the National Center for Education Statistics.

Students enrolled at the private for-profit institution paid $15,695 this year, an increase of $200 from the $15,495 charged during the 2021-22 academic year.

Approximately 99% of the undergraduate students at the school are residents of Louisiana, while about 1% come from other states.

Data indicates that 78% of full-time undergraduates who began studies at Unitech Training Academy-Lafayette in 2022-23 received some form of student financial aid. In total, 532 students were awarded grants or scholarships amounting to $2.4 million, and 557 students obtained student loans exceeding $3.5 million.

When considering all undergraduates, 879 students received grants or scholarships totaling $4.1 million. Additionally, 903 students borrowed $6 million in federal student loans.

Meanwhile, student loan debt has steadily increased over the last 30 years, reaching $1.75 trillion in 2024, averaging a total of $28,950 per borrower. Federal loans make up 92% of the debt, with over half of students at both public and private four-year colleges graduating with student loans.
