Rep. Clay Higgins, U.S. Congressman representing Louisiana’s 3rd district since 2017, shared a series of posts on social media between September 9 and September 10, 2025, addressing his activities in Washington D.C. and expressing support for crime victims and religious faith.
On September 9, Higgins posted about his ongoing work in the nation’s capital: “Meeting in DC with citizens I serve… https://t.co/mkWyKBx5id”.
Later that evening, he emphasized solidarity with victims of crime across the country, writing on September 10: “We say this not just for ourselves, but for the murdered, for the lost, for the forgotten, for the unseen victims of crime across our country… https://t.co/nWHiYamZWW”.
In a subsequent post on September 10, Higgins invoked religious language to call for protection and strength: “May our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ shield us, strengthen us, and forever defeat the evil that threatens our anointed Nation under God.”
Higgins has served as a member of Congress since replacing Charles Boustany in 2017. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he was a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives. Born in New Orleans in 1961 and currently residing in Lafayette at age 61, Higgins has represented Louisiana’s 3rd District through multiple terms.
