Rep. Clay Higgins, U.S. Congressman representing Louisiana’s 3rd district since 2017, recently posted a series of messages on his official social media account covering topics from religious reflection to foreign policy and infrastructure updates.

On April 5, 2026, Higgins shared a religious message marking the Easter period: “Resurrection. Hallelujah, praise God.
May we be worthy, may we be faithful, and may our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ illuminate our path. Amen”
.

The following day, on April 6, he commented on ongoing tensions in Iran with a forceful statement: “I’ll support a ceasefire in Iran when the Iranian terrorist regime of disgusting jihadist fanatical men are all dead, their weapons are destroyed, their homes are rubble, and their lustful dreams of world domination have been pounded into the dust of history.
  Wipe. Them. Out.”
.

Later that same day, Higgins highlighted his office’s work for Louisiana’s infrastructure: “Since beginning my Congressional service to We the People 9 years ago, my office has worked very hard to deliver more than $1 billion to maintain and modernize Louisiana ports and waterways…”.

Higgins has served in Congress since replacing Charles Boustany in 2017 after previously serving in the Louisiana House of Representatives. Born in New Orleans in 1961 and now residing in Lafayette at age 61, he continues to represent Louisiana’s 3rd District while sharing frequent updates about his legislative priorities and viewpoints.
