Rep. Clay Higgins, who represents Louisiana’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on his social media account in early February 2026 addressing national security, government spending, and his ongoing support for former colleague Kristi Noem.

On February 2, 2026, Higgins expressed his endorsement of DHS Secretary Kristi Noem: “Thank you, Madame Secretary. I served with DHS Secretary Kristi Noem in Congress and have known her for years. She is a stellar American woman. My support for her is unwavering, and my office will continue working with federal law enforcement to secure America…”

In another post dated February 3, 2026, Higgins wrote: “In order to save our Republic, we gotta do what we gotta do…”

On February 4, 2026, he commented on federal spending: “Every dollar that comes into this town has been seized from the paycheck of a working American…”

Higgins has represented Louisiana’s 3rd congressional district since replacing Charles Boustany in 2017. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives. Born in New Orleans in 1961 and currently residing in Lafayette at age 61, Higgins continues to focus on issues related to national security and fiscal responsibility.
