Cost of college went up for all students at Louisiana State University-Eunice

In-state tuition and fees rose 11.1 percent for 2018-19 at Louisiana State University-Eunice, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Louisiana residents paid $4,730 to attend the two-year public institution this year – $338 more than the $4,392 charged for 2017-18.

Non-residents paid 113.4 percent more than residents this year, or $10,094. Their price tag grew 39 percent from $7,260 in 2017-18.

About 95 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Louisiana residents. About 4 percent are residents of other states and 1 percent are citizens of other countries.

Data shows 93 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 524 students received grants or scholarships totaling $3.1 million and 372 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.8 million.

Including all undergraduates (3,232), 1,684 students used grants or scholarships totaling $8.7 million, and 1,269 students took out $7.3 million in federal student loans.
