Of the 1,002 people living in Egan in 2020, 40.6 percent (407) were women and 59.4 percent (595) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Lafayette Reporter.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 357. In the 65 and over age range, there were 29 females and 17 males.
