Kennedy announces $1.3 million in Hurricane Laura aid for Creole Park

WASHINGTON – Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced today a $1,281,178 Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) grant for Louisiana disaster aid.

“Hurricane Laura swept through south Louisiana, leaving behind destruction. This $1.3 million will help Cameron Parish restore Creole Park so that Louisianians can continue to enjoy our state’s outdoor recreation,” said Kennedy.

The FEMA aid will fund the following:

$1,281,178 to Cameron Parish for the permanent restoration of Creole Park as a result of Hurricane Laura.
