Lafayette, LA – Lafayette Consolidated Government (LCG) and Acadiana Waste Services (AWS) have announced that AWS will restart curbside residential trash collection on Friday, January 24. In order to focus on the removal of residential trash, all other curbside services such as recycling and yard waste are suspended. The aim is to utilize all available trucks, staff, and equipment for this task.

The collection schedule has been adjusted with Tuesday and Wednesday routes set for pickup on Friday, January 24. Meanwhile, Thursday and Friday routes will be collected on Saturday, January 25.

Normal operations for all curbside collections are expected to resume starting Monday, January 27.

Both LCG and AWS express their commitment to the quick and safe removal of trash while thanking the public for their patience during this challenging weather situation. For inquiries about AWS collection services, residents can contact 337-205-7710.
