Lafayette, LA – The Lafayette Parish Council and the Lafayette City Council have rescheduled their regular meetings to special sessions due to last week's winter storm. Originally set for January 21, 2025, these meetings were canceled in light of the weather conditions affecting Lafayette Parish.
The new schedule includes a special meeting of the Lafayette Parish Council on January 28, 2025, at 4:30 p.m., followed by a joint briefing with both councils at 5:00 p.m. This will precede the special meeting of the Lafayette City Council scheduled for 5:30 p.m. All meetings are set to take place at the City-Parish Council Auditorium within Lafayette City-Parish Hall located at 705 West University Avenue.
Citizens can view these proceedings through multiple channels including LUS Fiber Channel 4 (AOC 2), Cox Communications Channel 16 (AOC 2), and livestream options available on the Lafayette Consolidated Government's website via "Watch Public Meetings" link. Additionally, Acadiana Open Channel’s website provides access along with other platforms through AOC.
