Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana has announced his assignments on the Senate Appropriations Committee's subcommittees for the 119th Congress. As a member of this key funding panel, Kennedy will take on various roles that involve significant areas affecting his home state.

Kennedy expressed his commitment to serving the people of Louisiana through these assignments. "It’s an honor and a privilege to represent Louisianians on the Senate Appropriations Committee. I will continue to advocate for the needs of our state through my work on subcommittees that cover disasters, energy, defense, flood mitigation projects, health care, education, transportation, commerce and science and other key issues," he stated.

The senator will serve as Chair of the Subcommittee on Energy and Water Development. Additionally, he will be a member of several other subcommittees: Defense; Homeland Security; Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies; Transportation, Housing and Urban Development and Related Agencies; and Commerce, Justice, Science and Related Agencies.

These roles place Kennedy in a position to influence federal spending decisions across a range of sectors critical to Louisiana's interests.
