Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana has made public the allocation of $1,265,547 in FEMA grants dedicated to disaster aid for the state of Louisiana. As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Kennedy shared the news, emphasizing the purpose of the funds.

"Hurricane Ida’s storm surge, rains, and winds badly damaged facilities in our state. This $1.3 million will help Louisianians cover the cost of office contents that Ida destroyed," stated Kennedy.

The funding from FEMA is slated specifically for the Louisiana Office of Risk Management, and it will be used to replace contents in offices that suffered damage during the hurricane.
