Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) has been recognized with an "A+" rating for his unwavering dedication to protecting the lives of the unborn. The national scorecard by the Susan B. Anthony List acknowledges lawmakers who have consistently advocated for pro-life values through their legislative records. Kennedy's commitment to this cause has been evident throughout his tenure.

During the first session of the 118th Congress, Kennedy played a significant role in co-sponsoring legislation aimed at preventing the Biden administration's Department of Defense from facilitating abortions. Additionally, he lent his support to the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, a bill designed to permanently halt federal funding for abortions.

Kennedy's pro-life stance extends beyond the current session of Congress. In the 117th Congress, he staunchly opposed the use of taxpayer funds for abortions and voted against Democratic attempts to mandate the legalization of abortion up until the point of birth. Even prior to the Supreme Court's landmark ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, Kennedy demonstrated his pro-life leadership by co-leading a pro-life bicameral amicus brief in the case of June Medical Services v. Russo.

Recognizing the importance of protecting the health and safety of pregnant women and unborn children, Kennedy authored the Pregnant Women Health and Safety Act. This legislation aims to safeguard the well-being of both mothers and their babies. Additionally, he introduced the Prenatal Nondiscrimination Act, which seeks to criminalize aborting a child based on their gender.
