Dr. Jessica Leger Appointed to LCVC

Dr. Jessica Leger, Deputy Director of Athletics and Senior Woman Administrator for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns, has been appointed to the Lafayette Convention and Visitors Commission (LCVC) by Mayor-President Monique Blanco Boulet. Mayor-President Monique Blanco Boulet expressed her excitement about the appointment, stating, "We are delighted to welcome Jessica Leger to the Lafayette Convention and Visitors Commission. Her position as a member of the Executive Leadership Team for the Ragin' Cajuns and her deep-rooted connections within the community make her an invaluable asset to the commission. We look forward to working with Jessica to continue elevating Lafayette as a top-notch destination."

Dr. Leger has been a part of UL Lafayette's Department of Athletics staff since 2007, starting as the Assistant Director of Athletics for Compliance. Prior to joining the athletics department, she spent three years in the teaching profession. She earned her Bachelor's of Science in marketing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2003, followed by a Master's of Education from UL Lafayette in 2006. In 2010, she received her Ph.D. in higher education administration from Louisiana State University.

In her new role with the LCVC, Dr. Leger will work alongside other commissioners to develop and implement strategies to promote Lafayette as a must-visit destination, enhance visitor experiences, and drive economic impact through tourism.

The appointment of Dr. Jessica Leger to the Lafayette Convention and Visitors Commission is expected to bring valuable expertise and connections within the community to further elevate Lafayette as a top-notch destination.
