Lafayette, LA – The Lafayette Consolidated Government (LCG)’s Public Works Department has announced the closure of the 100 block of Mount Vernon Drive. The closure will begin on July 1 and last through July 3, from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. daily. This temporary measure is required for crews to replace a subsurface cross drain under the roadway.
Detour routes have been established to ensure traffic flow remains smooth, and local access will be maintained during the closure period. LCG has requested public patience and cooperation as crews work on improving Lafayette’s infrastructure.
The designated detour routes are:
- Eastland Drive
- Cambridge Drive
- Marner Drive
