Senator John Kennedy has announced a grant of $3,537,919 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) aimed at enhancing infrastructure in Shreveport, Louisiana. This funding will support water pump stations during natural disasters.

"Back up electricity is critical when bad weather hits. This $3.5 million will provide generators to Shreveport so that Louisianians are prepared for the next storm," stated Kennedy.

The allocation includes $3,351,713 for the purchase and installation of two permanent 1250-kilowatt generators in Shreveport. An additional $186,206 is designated for management costs associated with installing these generators.
