Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana has announced the allocation of over $1 million in federal disaster aid for West Carroll Parish. The funds, provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), are intended to enhance the community's preparedness for severe weather events.

"Louisianians in West Carroll Parish depend on generators when bad storms strike. This $1 million will help make sure the community is prepared for major weather events," stated Kennedy.

The FEMA grant includes $1,000,000 designated for the installation of 13 permanent emergency generators and one portable generator in West Carroll Parish. An additional $55,556 is allocated to cover management costs related to this generator project.
