Cost of college went up for all students at Academy of Interactive Entertainment

Tuition and fees rose 16.7 percent for 2018-19 at Academy of Interactive Entertainment, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Louisiana students paid $21,000 to attend the two-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $3,000 more than the $18,000 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 93 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 11 students received grants or scholarships totaling $80,371 and 12 students took out student loans totaling more than $109,167.

Including all undergraduates (64), 51 students used grants or scholarships totaling $356,306, and 50 students took out $333,727 in federal student loans.
