There were 31,587 students enrolled in Lafayette Parish School District schools in the 2021-22 school year, 0.6% more than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Out of the total students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 51.1% of them were boys, and 48.9% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Lafayette Parish School District students was white, with 44.1% of students identifying as white.
