Mayor-President Boulet appoints leaders focused on growth

Lafayette, LA – Mayor-President Monique B. Boulet has appointed three distinguished individuals to the Lafayette Parish Bayou Vermilion District Board, Evangeline Thruway Redevelopment Team, and Keep Lafayette Beautiful Board.

Graham Beduze has been appointed to the Lafayette Parish Bayou Vermilion District Board. As the Assistant to the Mayor of Carencro, Beduze brings experience in municipal operations and community engagement. He also served as the Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow’s Associate Director in Washington, D.C., working on energy and environmental issues to ensure clean water and air. His role on the Bayou Vermilion District Board will be instrumental in advancing the board’s mission to enhance water quality and beautification of Bayou Vermilion, promote it as a recreational and cultural asset, and drive viable economic development in the area. He will serve a four-year term beginning October 1, 2024.

Keithen Domingue has been named to the Evangeline Thruway Redevelopment Team. As the Executive Director of GIT Up, Inc. and a Community Outreach Specialist with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Domingue brings a unique perspective and a proven track record of leadership. His role on the Redevelopment Team will involve overseeing and advising on implementing the strategic plan aimed at enhancing the Evangeline Thruway area and advising on using local funds to ensure efficient redevelopment. He will serve a four-year unexpired term established January 1, 2024.

Jessica Brown-Mason has been appointed to the Keep Lafayette Beautiful Board. Currently serving as the Executive Project Analyst at the University of New Orleans, Brown-Mason has a proven track record of building teams that support organizational missions, operations, and financial goals. She is recognized for her ability to implement methods of success and foster team collaboration. Keep Lafayette Beautiful (KLB) has promoted environmental stewardship and community pride across Lafayette, and with Brown-Mason's addition, KLB is well-positioned to continue serving as an award-winning affiliate of the state. She will serve a two-year unexpired term established June 1, 2024.
