Lafayette PARC opens registration for youth football and volleyball leagues

Lafayette, LA – The Lafayette Parks, Arts, Recreation, and Culture (PARC) Department, in collaboration with the Scott Area Team Sports (SATS) and Southwest Athletics (SWA), has announced that registration is now open for the Lafayette PARC Youth Football and Youth Volleyball leagues. Registration will close on August 21, 2024.

The leagues include:

- Tackle Football: Ages 8-12

- Flag Football: Ages 5-17

- Volleyball: Ages 7-17

Football games are scheduled to be played at Clark Field, while volleyball games will take place at the Robicheaux, Domingue, and Dupuis Recreation Centers.

Age groups for each sport are as follows:

Tackle Football:

- 8U, 10U, 13U

Flag Football:

- Coed: 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 17U

Volleyball:

- Coed: 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 17U

- Girls Only: 11U, 14U, 17U

Registration is managed by SATS and SWA. Participants can register through the following links:

Registration fees are as follows:

- Tackle Football: $105 (plus a $75 equipment deposit)

- Flag Football and Volleyball: $80

These fees cover the cost of uniforms.

Important dates include the registration deadline on August 21. Tentative season dates are:

- Tackle/Flag Football: September 14 – November 23

- Volleyball: September 21 – November16
