Senator John Kennedy from Louisiana has expressed his views on energy policies in an op-ed for Fox News. He argues that Congress should dismantle President Biden's energy policies to support the Trump administration in restoring the economy and addressing inflation.

Kennedy stated, "If congressional Republicans intend to deliver on our promises of a booming economy and stable prices, we’d be wise to unwind quickly the disastrous energy policies that the Biden-Harris regime imposed on one of America’s most essential industries."

He criticized President Biden for implementing an offshore drilling ban on over 625 million acres of American coastline using a 1953 law. Kennedy claims this action makes it challenging for the incoming Trump administration to reverse these measures.

Kennedy also mentioned, "Not only is President Biden ignoring American voters by forcing through another harmful energy policy after his party lost the White House, but he is also making it more difficult for President Trump to restore the American economy and ease inflation."

According to Kennedy, rapid economic growth is necessary to overcome high prices attributed to current energy policies. He believes that Congress can assist by demanding more lease sales from the Department of Interior and reforming federal regulations that delay permitting processes.

"It is going to take an all-hands-on-deck effort to unwind all of President Biden’s destructive energy policies, and Congressional Republicans should stand ready to take the handcuffs off American energy," he concluded.
