Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana addressed participants of the March for Life event in Washington, D.C., expressing gratitude to those attending. The annual march draws many from Louisiana and across the United States.

Kennedy began by thanking attendees, stating, “I want to thank everybody—each and every one of you—who came here to Washington today to celebrate God's greatest gift: life.”

In his message, Kennedy highlighted his experiences in the Senate, mentioning that he has questioned several witnesses and officials who support abortion until birth. He remarked, “In my judgment, that's just a barbaric position, and I don't think the American people support it.”

He encouraged those present at the march to continue advocating for their beliefs despite challenges. “When radicals push hard for these indefensible positions,” Kennedy said, “we just have to have good people like you to stand up in front of God and country and speak up for innocent life."

Acknowledging the difficulties faced by pro-life advocates, he added, “I know it's not easy, but it's the right thing to do, and I thank you for doing it.”

Kennedy shared his personal belief that "every life is precious" and emphasized that everyone deserves an opportunity at life regardless of their background. He expressed hope for the success of this year's march in spreading its message widely.

Concluding his remarks with a blessing, Kennedy stated, “God bless all of you and God bless the mothers and the unborn babies you are working so hard to protect.”
