Lafayette, LA – Mayor-President Monique B. Boulet has announced the appointment of Jamie Boudreaux as the new Chief Communications Officer of Lafayette Consolidated Government (LCG). A native of Lafayette, Boudreaux brings extensive experience in creating transparent and accountable access to City-Parish Government for the citizens of Lafayette Parish.

Boudreaux most recently served as BBR Creative’s Marketing Manager, where she focused on strategic communications and driving creative development. She has a proven track record in developing and executing successful communications campaigns and excels in budget and project management.

“Jamie is a strong addition to round out our Executive Leadership team, and we’re thrilled to have her join us,” said Mayor-President Monique B. Boulet. “She has a deep love for our community and has demonstrated expertise and leadership in the communications space, both of which we need moving forward as we look to restore LCG’s credibility, transparency, and collaboration across our parish.”

Prior to her tenure at BBR Creative, Boudreaux served as the Director of Programming and Engagement for Downtown Lafayette Unlimited and the Marketing and Events Director for Moncus Park. She returned home to Lafayette after a career in professional sports with the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United, and Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Boudreaux holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Louisiana State University and is an alumna of the Leadership Institute of Acadiana’s Leadership Lafayette Class XXXIII.

As LCG’s spokesperson, Boudreaux is committed to communicating initiatives of the administration and all LCG departments. Under her leadership, the communications department will enhance LCG’s digital channels for streamlined access to resources and establish processes for more efficient communication with Lafayette Parish citizens.

Boudreaux will assume her role as Chief Communications Officer effective June 10, 2024.
