Lafayette Animal Shelter hosts free drive-through rabies vaccination clinic

The Lafayette Animal Shelter & Care Center, in collaboration with WildCat SpayNation for Dogs & Cats, is set to hold its 15th Annual Drive-Through Rabies Vaccination Clinic for dogs. This free event will take place on Sunday, November 3, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the CAJUNDOME located at 444 Cajundome Blvd., Lafayette, LA. Participants are advised to enter through Gate 8 off Congress Street. It is important to note that gates will close at 11:30 a.m.

The clinic will provide free rabies vaccinations and the DAPPv vaccine for dogs. Additionally, there will be a limited number of $20 spay/neuter vouchers available and microchipping services offered for $20 (cash only).

This initiative is supported by partnerships with the CAJUNDOME, Petco Love, Stuller Family Foundation, and WildCat SpayNation for Dogs & Cats.

A separate cat rabies vaccination clinic is scheduled for Saturday, November 23, 2024. It will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at SpayNation for Dogs & Cats located at 1640 Bertrand Drive in Lafayette. All cats must be transported in carriers to ensure the safety of both animals and staff.
