City court sessions canceled following judge's passing

Lafayette, LA – The Lafayette Consolidated Government and Lafayette City Court have announced the cancellation of all City Court sessions scheduled for Wednesday, October 16, 2024. This decision follows the recent passing of City Court Judge Jules D. Edwards, III.

Judge Edwards was a dedicated member of the community, serving with integrity for over three decades. His contributions to the justice system are recognized as significant and lasting. Condolences have been extended to his family, friends, and colleagues during this period of mourning.
