Kennedy announces $1.5 million in Hurricane Ida aid for Jefferson Parish

MADISONVILLE, La. – Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced $1,462,148 in a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) grant for Louisiana disaster aid.

Kennedy expressed his support, stating, "When Hurricane Ida struck Jefferson Parish, Louisianians bravely weathered the storm. This $1.5 million will help cover the costs of disaster recovery management in our communities.”

The FEMA aid, totaling $1,462,148, is designated to Jefferson Parish for management costs as a result of Hurricane Ida. This financial assistance aims to alleviate the burdens faced by the community in the aftermath of the natural disaster.
