There were 720 ninth grade students enrolled in Acadia Parish schools in the 2021-22 school year, 3.4% more than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Rayne High School welcomed the most ninth grade students in the parish.

Within Acadia Parish schools, the most students were found in first grade classes, while 11th grade classes were the smallest.

Statewide, Acadia Parish ranked 19th highest in enrollment numbers. It was ranked 20th highest the year before.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
